Dance Express, a monthly DJ dance on the second Saturdays of the month
will be happening on March 8th at The Church on Main St. in
Brattleboro. The dance will start off with a children's set with DJ
Dena Gartenstein from 7:15 to 8:00 pm. DJ Selector D will take over
the mixer at 8:00 and will spin for the first set, which will be
followed by DJ Cool Mama Blue from 9:45 until 11:30.

The proceeds of the evening will go to Ami Maglin's efforts in the
field of drug abuse prevention. This March 21st will mark the third
anniversary of Ami's daughter, Michelle's death from a heroin
overdose. Since that time, Ami has been attending trainings and
meetings to better understand addiction and the promising world of
Prevention and Recovery in the hopes that other families can avoid the
traumatic effects of addiction. The funds raised at the March 8th
Dance Express will be used to fund Ami's training. Ami is one of the
original founders of Dance Express and this is a great opportunity to
give back to her and this important cause.

Selector D and DJ Cool Mama Blue will spin an eclectic blend of
world-beat, funk, reggae, re-mixes, trance and a few surprises mixed
 in.

Dance Express is an all volunteer-run dance. The Church is located at
120 Main Street (next to the Post Office) in Brattleboro.

Admission is a sliding scale from $5-7. For children under 12 it is
$1. The format of the dance is unstructured and dancing is to a great
variety of inspired recorded music. Call 802-258-6475 or 802-380-4221
for more information. Or reply to me 258-8818.

 Peace,

 david
